ISS Solar Transit Captured With ZWO ASI174MM

Capturing The ISS Solar Transit

Capturing an ISS Solar Transit with my StellarVue SV105T, and ZWO ASI174MM camera has been on my “to do” list for a while.  It took a few weeks of planning and waiting.  I’ve successfully done a previous International Space Station

Frisco Star Fest for June 2015

2015-06-19 by Mitchell Tubbs

Half way through June, and so far the weather has been somewhat cooperative for me. Last Saturday, June 13th, I was able to finally take my setup with me to a local Star Party in Frisco, TX. I was so excited that I packed EVERYTHING! All my cameras, filters, telescopes, guiders, my mount... Hell I even packed my wife. My Telescope Fell Down Because I’m Cheap

It's a costly mistake to try and save money in astronomy. This is a lesson I learned the hard way on January 23rd, 2015. The decision to save $50 has now cost me over $200 in shipping and repair costs, all because I was not able to screw a five cent bolt into the front of my saddle plate.
